Japanese Fried Chicken recipe

Ingredients:

2 lbs of chicken pieces (wings, legs and thighs).
1 cup of Teriyaki sauce.
½ cup of flour, for dredging.
Salt.
1 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper.
½ cup of canola oil.

Preparation Instructions:

Place the chicken in a shallow microwave-safe container.

Pour the Teriyaki sauce over the chicken.

Marinate, turning once or twice, for about 30 minutes.

Microwave on HIGH for 3 minutes.

In a plastic container with a lid, combine the flour, salt and pepper.

Add the chicken, cover, then shake to coat thoroughly.

Heat the canola oil in a non-stick frying pan over high heat.

Add the chicken pieces and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, turning frequently, until brown and crisp.

Drain on paper towels.
